A Cousin-Filled Weekend!

Cyra Velasquez and family in San Diego, California.

Happy Monday! Anybody missing the weekend already? I know I am.

On Saturday, my family got together for my cousins Kim and Kristine’s housewarming. They recently moved in together, which I love because I get to see them more often.

I don’t have any pictures from the housewarming because things were pretty hectic, but it was fun! My family from Carson came down and a lot of my other cousins from San Diego were there as well. We ate, drank, caught up with one another, played games, etc. I didn’t go to bed until 4 a.m.!

The following day, we had a yummy breakfast (courtesy of Kim and Kristine) and since it was such a rare opportunity that we were all together, we decided to visit my Grandma Simona at the cemetery.

It meant a lot to me that we visited her, and I know it meant a lot to her as well.

Later in the day, we met up at my house to eat and watch the Chargers game. My parents got so much food for us including tacos, pizza, and chicken wings.

When my dad’s at the grill, his name becomes Jaime instead of Jim, haha!

I had maybe three or four of these but who’s counting? ;)

If you’ve had these before, you know how bomb they taste!

Unfortunately, the Chargers lost, but I was happy to be with my cousins and enjoyed spending time with my family. Can’t wait to do it again!
